3. Consistency

You must be consistent in everything. Consistency consists of many aspects such as dedication, schedules, and techniques. If you are consistent to practice that you also need to sacrifice certain things such as budget, time, and efforts. In order to be able to play a percussion instrument from Africa, you must own an instrument privately. Having your own drums give you more time to practice. You will also practice it freely without any hesitations. If you are just relying on borrowing that of others, then you will surely have limited times and you can practice fully because you are still bothered by the fear of breaking other’s instrument. That is why I really recommend you to own an instrument.

Consistency also means practice frequently. In order to be more organized, you need to set up schedules for practicing the African hand percussion. Find the right and proper time to practice. The more you practice, the faster you will master it. If you are confronted with personal problems or other difficulties, do not be hopeless. Keep going. Do your best to conquer every obstacle that you encounter. Where there is a will, there will always be a way. Have continuous training will help you a lot.
